Village Hall Projects
In recognition of the vital role that village halls and community buildings play in rural community the North York Moors, Coast and Hills LEADER Programme has, for the last 2 years, supported the Sustainable Community Halls project. Whilst this project has now ended, both Rural Action Yorkshire and Tees Valley Rural Community Council are still able to offer support and advice to rural community buildings
Specialist guidance can be provided on topics including:
- Business planning
- Governance
- Policy development
- Service development
- Sustainability
- Climate change minimisation – specifically Energy Audits
- Capital investment
- Project Management
- Licencing
- Funding
Any village halls or community buildings in need of assistance are encouraged to contact their local Community Buildings Advisor to discuss their needs.
The Community Buildings Advisors are investigating the possibility of setting up a number of networks in the area in order to share information and resources quickly. If your community building would be interested in getting involved please contact your local advisor.
