Village Hall Applications
In recognition of the vital role that village halls and community buildings play in rural community life we have established a project that is specially designed to provide them with extra support.
The Sustainable Community Halls Project covers the whole of the LEADER area and aims to encourage a more sustainable and wider range of services to be provided in rural areas. Specialist guidance is provided through a range of workshops, mentoring and on a one to one basis including:
- Business planning
- Governance
- Policy development
- Service development
- Sustainability
- Climate change minimisation – specifically Energy Audits
- Capital investment
- Project Management
- Licencing
- Funding
All village halls and community buildings interested in making an application to the LEADER programme must contact their local Community Building Advisor (part of the Sustainable Community Halls Project) to discuss their ideas before making an application to LEADER.
