Executive Group
The Executive Group is made up of 16 appointed and elected members of the LAG who are the decision makers for all LEADER programme funding applications. They also have the responsibility of setting project criteria as well as monitoring and evaluating both individual projects and the programme as a whole.
The Executive Group is made up of representatives mainly from the non-public sector and its structure is designed to ensure that there is strong representation by sector e.g. agriculture, environment, community organisations and by geographical area. It is important that this comes from local people who can influence the success of the LEADER approach. The current Executive Group members were nominated and then elected by a ballot of all members of the Local Action Group. Appointed members were nominated following an invite by the Lead Partner.
Who are our Executive members?
The Executive Group is supported by the LEADER Programme Manager who is based at the North York Moors National Park Authority. Most administration will be dealt with by North Yorkshire County Council who also have a dedicated officer dealing with project appraisals and approvals.
