Funding & Applications

The programme is open for applications on a rolling basis until the end of 2013.  It is expected that LEADER will fund, on average, between £5,000 and £30,000 towards a project, and can fund up to £100,000.  In exceptional circumstances applications for more than £100,000 will be considered but these must show considerable benefit to the wider LEADER area. The grant applied for can be up to 100% of the project costs.  Match funding is not required but evidence of match funding will be taken into account when making decisions. The average grant rate is expected to be around £30,000.

Applicants must be a group or organsiation with governing documents and a bank account.  We cannot accept applications from private individuals or businesses.

Applicants should be aware that LEADER is unable to provide funding for continuation or core costs, or a scheme which is a statutory responsibiity or requirement.  For additional sources of useful documents and information, please see the Useful Resources page.
