Each LEADER Programme has a structure that allows information and ideas to flow from bottom to top, and across all local social and economic sectors.  Decision making for all activity undertaken by the Programme is done through Local Action Groups (LAGs).

The North York Moors, Coast and Hills LEADER Programme has implemented the following structure:structure

Local Action Group (LAG) and Executive Group

Within the North York Moors, Coast and Hills LEADER Programme, the Local Action Group (LAG) is an ever growing group of people with an interest in the Programme or the area and delegates its decision making responsibility to the Executive Group.  Eleven members of the LAG and networks affiliated to the Programme are elected to the Executive Group and represent four main sectors, and the remaining 8 are members appointed from local, mainly public sector, partner organisations.

More information on both the LAG and Executive Group can be found on their respective pages.

Lead Partner and Accountable Body

The Programme is supported by the North York Moors National Park Authority (NYMNPA) as Lead Partner for the Programme, and North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC) who provide the role of Accountable Body.

The role of Lead Partner is to ensure Programme delivery through work with a range of partners, the Accountable Body and the Executive Group.  The Programme Manager is employed by the NYMNPA and is based in Helmsley.
